Ordinary satin cloth is often only 2.4–4.4 oz/yd² (80–150 g/m²): pulls sheer, snags easily, and shows skipped threads. At 230 g/m², this polyester satin holds shape, drapes with weight, and stands up to repeated folding for table skirts without splitting yarn easily.

Repeated washing is less likely to chalk or fade white. A thicker, higher-quality pick in polyester satin for dinner and hosting tables.
